Non-sterile Pharmacy Lab Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:
Here at Integrity, the Lab Department is responsible for compounding 
sterile, non-sterile, hazardous, and non-hazardous medications while complying with all state and federal regulations. The Lab team must meet all compliance standards, which includes daily, weekly, and monthly cleanings of equipment and surfaces. Lab team members working with hazardous materials must also gown and garb.

We are looking to add a GA-licensed Pharmacy Technician, with or without prior experience, as a Non-sterile Technician to our Lab team. This Technician will support a team of pharmacists and technicians in the preparation and compounding of non-sterile medications, as well as help to keep the lab environment clean and orderly. While workflow is the main component of the position, special projects and cross-training are also required. This position is a full-time, in-office position. 
 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license in good standing (Process includes: online application, finger printing, background check, $100 fee)

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, such as standing for prolonged periods and lifting

Responsibilities (with on-the-job training):

  • Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients
  • Understand and perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications
  • Accurately calibrate equipment
  • Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs
  • Ensure that all pharmacy areas are cleaned per company policy
  • Prepare medications, under the supervision of a pharmacist, so that medications are accurately compounded
  • Process prescriptions using computer software
  • Adhere to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices
  • Comply with state and federal laws
  • Assist with the training and supervision of new pharmacy technicians and interns
  • Label and record dosage information
  • Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
  • Effectively work within a lab team
Job Type: Full-time
 
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
