Please join the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce for our Chamber Luncheon with Guest speaker Larry Gellerstedt , Cousins Properties.
In July 2009, Larry Gellerstedt was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Cousins Properties. He previously served as the Company's President and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing Cousins’ leasing and asset management efforts as well as its development initiatives. Larry joined Cousins in 2005 following the acquisition of his firm, The Gellerstedt Group.
Larry began his career at Beers Construction Company (Beers) in 1978 as an estimator and project manager. At age 26, he founded and became president of BCB Company, a Beers subsidiary focused on the healthcare industry. Larry grew BCB Company to more than $100 million in revenues in just four years, at which time he was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Beers. During his tenure, Larry led the company to annual revenues in excess of $1.2 billion, and sold Beers to Skanska AB.
He also has held positions as President and Chief Operating Officer of The Integral Group, recognized nationally for its visionary urban mixed-use development, and as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Business Products, a NYSE-listed manufacturer of packaging and printed office products.
Spanning a career of more than 30 years, Larry has received numerous accolades including Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year, Atlanta Business League's CEO of the Year and Georgia Trend magazine's Georgia's 100 Most Influential People.

Larry currently serves as Chairman, Jesse Parker Williams Foundation, Metro Atlanta Chamber; Director, Atlanta Committee for Progress, Robert W. Woodruff Foundation. He was also Founder, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta; served as Past Chair, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, The Commerce Club, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Metro Atlanta YMCA, Midtown Alliance, and Woodruff Arts Center.
