Cars & ‘Q for the Cause began in 2009 as a small get-together of Choate Construction employees who loved cars. Over time, the show grew into what it’s become today - an incredible community event with over 1,200 patrons, live music, and bbq, continuous pours of your favorite brews, and 100+ classic, muscle, and exotic cars. All to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!
The show is born out of a love of cars and an intense desire to cure Cystic Fibrosis. Choate’s history with Cystic Fibrosis and the CF Foundation began in 1989 at the inception of the company. Shortly before founding the company, Millard Choate’s daughter met her best friend Leann at the age of two. A year later, Millard was working away in Choate’s first office (his home’s basement) and received a call he would never forget. Leann was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. There was no cure. And the life expectancy was in the teens.
